With over 25 years in the industry as a working actress on Broadway, Off-Broadway, Regionally and Internationally known, Gayle has worked with some of the best directors in Theatre – Kenny Leon (Children Of A Lesser God), Hal Prince (Grind), Trevor Nunn (Sunset Blvd.), Michael Bennett (Dreamgirls), Bob Fosse (Dancin’), Howard Ashman (Little Shop of Horrors), Kenneth Ferrone (Sistas), Graham Vick (The Metropolitan Opera), Timothy Douglas (Fences), Kevin Jones (Seven Guitars); Film and Television – Peter Werner (Bull), Eric Stoltz (Madam Secretary), Kevin Dowling (The Americans), Kasi Lemmons (Black Nativity), James Burrows (The Class), Terry Hughes (Twenty Good Years), and she received a Best Actress Nomination from the Connecticut Critics Circle for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in Lady Day At Emerson’s Bar & Grill.
 
From the casting side Gayle has been the Segment Casting Coordinator for Anna Deavere Smith’s Notes From The Field (HBO), Casting Director for Love Lies Treat Her Like A Lady (directed by Three Time Tony Award winner Hinton Battle and winner of Best Featured Actor – Midtown Internat’l Theatre Festival), Big Otis Jump Up Blues Revue (Otis Sallid, director), The Dinner (Darryl Rueben Hall, director) and as an associate, Gayle was the casting associate for the Grammy Award winning Broadway hit Smokey Joe’s Café (Jerry Zaks, director), Twist (Debbie Allen, director) and the New York Casting Associate for the Los Angeles based casting office – Peter Wise and Associates.
 
Having had experience on both sides of the table THE ACTORS GPS allows Gayle to give back and share some guidance, casting secrets, industry do’s and don’ts, as well as give support and advice when you need it most.
